Transport for the Capital Area (TfCA) is a public company incorporated by the Government of Iceland and municipalities in the Capital Area (Reykjavík, Kópavogur, Hafnarfjörður, Garðabær, Mosfellsbær and Seltjarnarnes) to invest in transport infrastructure in the area.
TfCA develop the Keldur Area in Reykjavik as part of the financing of the infrastructure investments. The development is a collaborative effort between the City of Reykjavík and TfCA. Both parties are the contracting authority in an international competition that is held in two stages. A competition for a Strategic Urban Development Plan for Keldur begins in January 2023 and submission deadline for the first stage entries is April 19th. The second stage begins in May and the final submission is in August. Further information can be found here.
